Terms: what you can use BillToCSV for, and what we promise
Use it on real bills you are allowed to upload, and check the output against the paper before it goes into your books. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel.
Free: 1 file per day, up to 10 pages, no account.
The short version
BillToCSV reads supplier bills and receipts and writes CSV files with the arithmetic checked. It is a tool for people who keep books. It does not give accounting, tax or legal advice, and the books stay your responsibility.
Do not upload forged or altered documents, or documents you have no right to upload. Plans are monthly and renew until you cancel. We do not promise refunds. The full terms are below the table.
How the service works under these terms
-
You upload a document you may share
A real bill or receipt that you, or the client you work for, are entitled to upload.
-
We read it and check the arithmetic
The reading is done by software and can be wrong. The checks flag many errors, but not all.
-
You review what is flagged
Amber rows mean the numbers disagree. You decide whether to edit, accept or leave the bill out.
-
You import the file yourself
BillToCSV never connects to your accounting software. What you import is your decision.
-
You stay responsible for your books
Compare amounts that matter with the paper, especially on scans and photos.
Who is responsible for what
| What you compare | Typing it in by hand | A generic OCR app | BillToCSV |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reading the bill | You. | The app, with your confirmation. | The software reads it. It can misread. |
| Checking the numbers | You, if you do. | Varies by app. | The software flags what does not tie. You review the flags. |
| What goes into your books | You. | You, or the app if it posts for you. | You. You import the file yourself. |
| Accuracy of the final figures | You. | You. | You. Treat the output as a checked draft, not as a record. |
| Refunds | Not applicable. | Varies. Read its terms. | Not promised. |

Using the service
BillToCSV lets you upload supplier bills and receipts and download CSV files laid out for accounting software. The free allowance needs no account. Paid access uses a page code.
You are responsible for the books you keep. Check the output before you import it, and keep the original documents.
Your files
You keep all rights in the documents you upload and in the files you download. By uploading, you permit us to process a document to produce the result for you, and you confirm that you have the right to upload it. How files are handled is described on the privacy page.
Acceptable use
Do not upload forged, altered or fabricated documents. Do not upload documents you have no right to upload. Do not use the service for anything unlawful, to harm or overload it, or to get around its limits, including by automating the converter with scripts or by using several devices to exceed the free allowance.
We may refuse a file, limit access or end a subscription if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.
No advice, no guarantee
The service reads documents with software that can make mistakes. It does not give accounting, tax or legal advice. The service and its output are provided as they are, without a promise that they are accurate, complete or fit for your purpose.
Plans and payment
The free allowance is 1 file per day, up to 10 pages, no account. Pro costs $19 a month and Team costs $49 a month, with the allowances shown on the pricing page. A subscription renews every month until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal.
Refunds are not promised. If you think you were charged in error, write to [email protected].
Availability and changes
We may change the service, its limits and its prices, or stop it. We do not promise that it will always be available. If plans or prices change, the pricing page shows the current ones.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, BillToCSV is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses that come from relying on the output without checking it, and the total we owe for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Trademarks
QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc. Xero is a trademark of Xero Limited. BillToCSV is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by either company.

Questions people ask
Can bookkeepers use BillToCSV for clients' bills?
Yes, if the client is entitled to share the document and you are authorised to upload it on their behalf. You remain responsible for the books you prepare, and for telling your clients how their documents are handled. The privacy page explains that.
Is the output guaranteed to be accurate?
No. The reading is done by software and can misread figures, especially on scans and photos. The checks catch many errors, but a misread that still adds up is not caught. Compare amounts that matter with the paper.
What am I not allowed to upload?
Forged, altered or fabricated documents, and documents you have no right to upload, such as bills belonging to someone else that you obtained without permission. Nothing unlawful, and nothing you are not allowed to share with the services listed on the privacy page.
Can I get around the free limit?
Please do not. The free allowance is 1 file per day, up to 10 pages, no account. Using several devices or other tricks to get more than that, or automating the converter with scripts, is not permitted. Paid plans exist for larger volumes.
How do subscriptions renew?
Pro and Team renew every month until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal. The price and allowance of each plan are on the pricing page.
Do you give refunds?
Refunds are not promised. If something went wrong with your subscription, write to [email protected] and explain what happened, and we will look at it.
Who owns my files and the CSV output?
You do. You give us permission to process a file only to produce the result for you. We claim no rights in your documents or in the files you download.
Can the service change or stop?
Yes. We may change features, limits and prices, or stop the service, and we will update the pricing page when plans change. We do not promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.
Is BillToCSV affiliated with QuickBooks or Xero?
No. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc. Xero is a trademark of Xero Limited. BillToCSV is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by either company. Their names are used only to say which import format a file is laid out for.
What is your liability if the output is wrong?
Limited. To the extent the law allows, BillToCSV is not liable for losses that come from relying on the output without checking it, or from the service being unavailable, and the total we owe for any claim is capped at what you paid in the 12 months before it. Some places do not allow such limits, and then the limit that the law allows applies.
